What is a Dental Bridge?
In the absence of one or more teeth, replacing the missing tooth with the body, covering the anterior and posterior teeth and providing support is called a bridge .
The figure above shows a 3-tooth bridge made on 2 teeth.
The support teeth are reduced and covered, and the missing teeth are completed with the part called the body (pontic) [1].
They are prepared in the laboratory and adhered to the teeth [1].
What is Dental Crown?
Dental crown is the process of reducing and covering teeth that are broken due to caries or trauma, or teeth that have excessive material loss due to any other reason, or teeth that have had root canal root treatment. The following figure shows the application of a dental to the tooth.
Crown is a dental restoration that surrounds the tooth from all sides, fully conforming to the damaged tooth underneath.
Dental Crown Construction Stages
In the figure below, the stages of making a dental crown are shown;
Dental crown construction stages are briefly as follows [1];
1- First of all, the tooth is made suitable for crowns. In this context, the tooth is reduced. (Figures A, B and C above).
2- The size of the teeth is taken.
3- Temporary dental crown is manufactured. The temporary dental crown is made on the day of the impression, if possible, to protect the patient’s reduced teeth and is temporarily adhered to the reduced teeth (Similar to Figures C and D above).
4- After the permanent crown is produced in the laboratory, it is adhered to the crown with a special adhesive on the reduced teeth (Figures C and D above).
Crowns and bridges can be made of porcelain or zirconium.

1-In the restoration of a large filled tooth without adequate tooth support,
2- In closing the gaps between the teeth,
3- In the correction of the shape of the deformed teeth,
4-To prevent weak teeth from breaking,

What is a zirconium supported porcelain tooth? (Zirconium teeth)
Zirconium supported porcelain veneers are prostheses that use zirconium alloy, which has a white color instead of metal, as a substructure. The tooth on which zirconium supported porcelain crowns are made is called zirconium tooth. Porcelains with zirconium substructure are preferred safely because they are aesthetic enough to be used on anterior teeth and because they are robust enough to be used on posterior teeth.
